XMax was established in 2014 as an independent vaporizer brand under TopGreen, a manufacturer active in the vaporizer industry since 2010. Over the years, XMax has developed portable dry herb, concentrate and cartridge devices, with particular emphasis on convection heating, airflow management and temperature control.
XMax has built its range around portable vaporizers that offer useful features without moving immediately into premium price territory. The brand’s development has included the V-Series dry herb vaporizers, the Starry range and devices for concentrates and cartridges.
One of the main areas XMax has focused on is airflow and heating control. Convection heating allows hot air to move through the herb as you inhale, while adjustable temperature and airflow settings give the user more control over flavour, vapour density and draw resistance.
For our current UK range, we have focused on the XMax V4 Pro Vaporizer.
The XMax V4 Pro Vaporizer is a portable dry herb vaporizer built around pure convection heating. Instead of relying mainly on direct contact between the herb and a hot chamber, heated air passes through the load as you inhale.
The temperature can be adjusted from 100°C to 220°C in individual degree increments. This gives you room to experiment with lower temperatures for lighter flavour or increase the heat when you want denser vapour and fuller extraction.
A three-level airflow control is one of the V4 Pro’s more useful features. You can open the airflow for a lighter, freer draw, restrict it for a warmer and denser draw, or choose a middle setting for a balance between the two.

The V4 Pro gives you two different ways to use the heater. Session Mode maintains your selected temperature for either four or six minutes, making it useful when you want several draws without repeatedly activating the heater.
On Demand Mode heats only when required. This is better suited to shorter use, where you may only want one or two draws before putting the vaporizer away again.
Having both options makes the V4 Pro more flexible than a vaporizer built around a single fixed session style.
Airflow plays an important role in a convection vaporizer because heated air needs to move through the herb effectively. The V4 Pro lets you adjust draw resistance using three airflow settings rather than relying on one fixed intake.
For best results, herb should generally be loaded evenly without being compressed too tightly. Leaving enough space for air to move through the chamber helps the convection heater work more efficiently.
A slow, steady draw usually works better than a very short or aggressive inhale. You can then adjust the airflow and temperature to find the combination that suits you.
The XMax V4 Pro uses a removable 2550 mAh 18650 battery. Unlike a permanently sealed battery, the cell can be replaced when it eventually loses capacity or swapped for a compatible charged spare when you are away from a power source.
The battery can be charged inside the vaporizer using USB-C. Battery life will vary depending on temperature, session length, heating mode and the condition of the battery.
The colour OLED display shows the selected temperature, current temperature, operating mode and remaining battery level, giving you the main information you need while using the device.
The V4 Pro is a good fit for users who want more control than a simple fixed-temperature vaporizer provides but do not necessarily want to move into a much larger or more expensive premium portable.
Session Mode keeps operation straightforward. Choose a temperature, wait for the device to reach it and use the vaporizer during the selected session time.
Adjustable airflow, individual-degree temperature settings and On Demand heating give more experienced users additional ways to fine-tune each session.
The removable 18650 battery is particularly useful if you want to keep a vaporizer for longer without depending entirely on the lifespan of a permanently installed battery.
