This approach is particularly clear in the current generation of Dr. Dabber products. Ghost 2 uses radial heating around a compact eChamber, while Switch GO uses a removable quartz insert and a larger water-filtered format. Both are designed for concentrates, but the way they deliver the session is very different.
The current Evertree range covers the Ghost 2 and Switch GO. One prioritises compact carry, while the other brings Dr. Dabber’s Switch platform into a smaller portable e-rig.
The Dr. Dabber Ghost 2 is the compact concentrate vaporizer in the range. It is designed around easy handheld use and gives you a dedicated concentrate chamber without moving up to the size of a water-filtered e-rig.
Its eChamber uses 360-degree radial sidewall heating. Instead of concentrating the heat at a single point, the chamber heats around the sides of the loaded material to create a more even thermal environment.
Ghost 2 also offers five temperature settings alongside three Dynamic Heating Modes: Ascent, Descent and Steady. These allow you to change not only the selected temperature but also how the device applies heat throughout the session.
An isolated ceramic vapour pathway runs from the eChamber through the ceramic mouthpiece. This keeps the vapour route separate from the electronics inside the body and also gives the device a relatively straightforward path to maintain and clean.
The compact format makes Ghost 2 the better fit if you want a Dr. Dabber that can be carried easily, used without glass or water, and brought out for shorter concentrate sessions.
The Dr. Dabber Switch GO is a portable water-filtered e-rig designed to bring the Switch experience into a smaller format. Dr. Dabber describes it as 54% smaller than Switch 2, making it substantially easier to transport while retaining a full glass water chamber.
Instead of using a disposable sealed atomiser, Switch GO heats a removable pure quartz insert. The insert can be removed for cleaning or replacement without replacing the entire heating system, which gives the device a different maintenance model from many conventional chamber-based e-rigs.
The device includes onboard temperature control for straightforward use without a phone. However, connecting through the Dr. Dabber app adds Dynamic Heating Modes and custom heating curves, allowing more detailed control over how temperature changes throughout the session.
The glass attachment provides water filtration and also forms a major part of the device’s overall shape. That makes Switch GO larger than a pocket-sized concentrate vaporizer, but it remains rechargeable and portable rather than being tied to a mains-powered setup.
Switch GO is the better fit if you want water filtration, a removable quartz insert and more advanced control while still being able to move the device easily between locations.

Heating design is one of the main areas where Dr. Dabber differentiates its devices. Ghost 2 and Switch GO use different systems because they are designed around different formats.
Ghost 2 uses radial sidewall heating around its eChamber. Heat surrounds the concentrate from the chamber walls rather than relying primarily on one heated point beneath the material.
This design gives Dr. Dabber more control over the thermal environment inside a small chamber and helps make the most of the compact Ghost 2 format.
Ghost 2 provides three Dynamic Heating Modes directly on the device: Ascent, Descent and Steady.
Ascent Mode begins lower and increases the temperature through the session. Descent Mode begins hotter and reduces the temperature, while Steady Mode aims to maintain a more consistent temperature.
Switch GO also supports Dr. Dabber’s Dynamic Heating Modes through the companion app. In addition, the app allows custom heating curves, giving users more control over how the temperature changes during a session.
Ghost 2 uses an isolated ceramic vapour pathway running between the eChamber and mouthpiece. The design keeps the route taken by the vapour separate from the electronics housed elsewhere inside the device.
Switch GO takes a different approach with a removable pure quartz insert. The concentrate sits inside the quartz insert while the device’s heating system applies heat around it.
Because the insert is removable, it can be taken out for cleaning or replaced separately rather than treating the complete heating assembly as a disposable atomiser.
Switch GO adds a water-filled glass attachment above the heating system. Vapour passes through the water before reaching the mouthpiece, adding cooling that is not present on the compact Ghost 2.
This is one of the biggest practical differences between the two devices. Ghost 2 keeps the complete setup compact, while Switch GO trades some size for a water-filtered draw.
Both devices are made specifically for concentrates, but they suit quite different ways of using them.
Choose the Ghost 2 if portability is the priority. Its smaller handheld body makes it easier to carry, there is no glass or water to manage, and the five temperatures and three Dynamic Heating Modes still give you plenty of control over the session.
Choose the Switch GO if you want water filtration and a quartz insert. It is larger than Ghost 2, but the rechargeable design remains portable. The removable quartz insert, water chamber and optional app controls give you a more substantial e-rig setup.
Choose Ghost 2 for simpler travel and everyday carry. Choose Switch GO when cooling, water filtration and more detailed heating adjustment matter more than having the smallest possible device.

Regular cleaning is particularly important with concentrate vaporizers because heated extracts leave residue behind in the chamber, insert and vapour path.
After a session, residue can usually be removed from the chamber or insert with a suitable cotton swab once the components have reached a safe cleaning temperature. Cleaning while residue is still relatively fresh can make it easier to remove before it builds up.
The exact maintenance routine differs between Ghost 2 and Switch GO. Ghost 2 uses its ceramic vapour pathway and eChamber, while Switch GO adds a removable quartz insert and glass water attachment. Always follow Dr. Dabber’s cleaning instructions for the individual device before using isopropyl alcohol or removing parts.
A suitable dab tool also makes loading concentrates easier. Firmer material can be moved with a conventional dab tool, while stickier extracts may be easier to handle with a heated loading tool.
