All seeds sold by Evertree are strictly sold as souvenirs and collectors’ items for genetic preservation purposes only. They are not sold for germination or cultivation. Cannabis seeds are a non-controlled part of the cannabis plant under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971; however, cultivating cannabis plants without the appropriate Home Office licence is unlawful in the UK. Customers are responsible for complying with the law applicable in their location.

F1 hybrid cannabis seeds are produced by crossing carefully selected genetic lines to create a first-generation hybrid with a more consistent genetic profile. F1 breeding has long been established in other areas of horticulture and has more recently been applied to cannabis genetics.

Our current F1 hybrid seed collection comes from Royal Queen Seeds and includes Orion F1, Epsilon F1, Milky Way F1 and Titan F1. Each variety has its own genetic lineage, cannabinoid profile, terpene characteristics and breeder-described traits.

What Are F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds?

F1 stands for first filial generation. In plant breeding, an F1 hybrid is created by crossing two carefully developed parent lines. The resulting first-generation genetics are generally more uniform than those produced by a conventional cross between genetically varied parent plants.

Royal Queen Seeds developed its F1 cannabis range using highly selected inbred lines. The aim is to produce genetics with greater consistency across characteristics such as structure, cannabinoid profile, terpene expression and other breeder-described traits.

F1 seeds should not be confused with clones or assumed to be genetically identical. They are individual seeds, but the controlled breeding process is designed to reduce the level of variation commonly seen in less stabilised hybrid genetics.

F1 Hybrid or Conventional Hybrid?

The main difference lies in how the genetics are produced. A conventional cannabis hybrid can be created by crossing two selected varieties, while a true F1 hybrid is produced from more highly stabilised parent lines.

This gives F1 genetics a reputation for greater uniformity and consistency between seeds. However, the individual characteristics still depend on the specific parent lines used, so F1 should be viewed as a breeding classification rather than a description of one particular type of cannabis strain.

F1 also does not automatically mean autoflowering. F1 hybrids can be either autoflowering or photoperiod varieties. The four Royal Queen Seeds F1 varieties currently available in this Evertree collection are autoflowering F1 hybrids.

Our Royal Queen Seeds F1 Hybrids

Orion F1 combines genetic heritage from Blue Mammoth Auto, Blue Dream and Amnesia. Royal Queen Seeds describes its profile with candy, fruity and pine characteristics.

Epsilon F1 draws on Blue Dream, Blueberry, Amnesia Lemon Haze and Black Domina heritage. Its breeder-described flavour profile includes blueberry, citrus, herbal, lavender and lime notes.

Milky Way F1 combines genetic lines descending from Blue Mammoth, Blue Dream and Sin Tra Bajo Auto. Its profile includes chocolate, citrus, pungent and skunk characteristics.

Titan F1 combines Blue Dream, Sugar Magnolia and Amnesia heritage, with breeder-described candy, diesel, herbal, pine and vanilla characteristics.

Choosing F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds

When comparing F1 hybrid seeds, start with the genetic lineage and breeder information rather than assuming every F1 variety will share the same characteristics.

Cannabinoid profile, terpene profile, flavour characteristics and genetic background differ between Orion F1, Epsilon F1, Milky Way F1 and Titan F1. The individual product pages provide more detailed breeder specifications for each variety.

All F1 hybrid cannabis seeds currently in this collection are produced by Royal Queen Seeds and are available in a choice of seed pack sizes.

F1 Hybrid Seeds FAQ

What does F1 mean in cannabis seeds?

F1 means first filial generation. It describes the first generation produced by crossing two selected parent lines.

In true F1 breeding, the parent lines are carefully developed to produce greater consistency across the resulting genetics.

Are F1 hybrid seeds genetically identical?

No. F1 seeds are individual seeds and should not be described as genetically identical in the same way as clones.

The purpose of true F1 breeding is to produce greater genetic uniformity and more consistent characteristics than are typically found in less stabilised hybrid crosses.

Are F1 hybrid cannabis seeds autoflowering?

Not necessarily. F1 refers to the breeding generation rather than the flowering type, so F1 cannabis genetics can be either autoflowering or photoperiod.

Orion F1, Epsilon F1, Milky Way F1 and Titan F1 in the current Evertree collection are all classified by Royal Queen Seeds as autoflowering F1 hybrids.

What is the difference between an F1 hybrid and a regular hybrid?

A conventional hybrid can be created by crossing two cannabis varieties with relatively varied genetics. A true F1 hybrid is produced from carefully developed parent lines with the aim of producing a more consistent first generation.

The exact genetic characteristics still depend on the particular parent lines and breeder.

Are cannabis seeds legal in the UK?

Cannabis seeds themselves are a non-controlled part of the cannabis plant under UK law. However, cultivating cannabis plants without the appropriate Home Office licence is unlawful.

All cannabis seeds sold by Evertree UK are sold strictly as souvenirs and collectors’ items and are not sold for germination or cultivation.
